About Me

Hej, I'm Tina.

I'm a qualified ski instructor and mum of two little skiers - and wife to one big one! Originally from Scandinavia, I settled down and started a family in Australia.

Life in the suburbs was comfortable but something was missing. I missed the connection to nature and wanted our children to have more nature and outdoor activities avilable from the doorstep.

I've always loved to travel and having children wasn't going to stop that. We decided to become 'Mummy & Daddy ski bums' and returned to doing ski seasons when our first child was just 18 months old.

Life in a ski resort was envigorating but something else was missing. We were always temporary and every spring we would ask ourselves why we are leaving.

Migrating between Europe and Australia every year wasn't the answer. Seven months of 'normal' life and five months of skiing was too disconnected - moving in and out of our house, enroling and unenroling in school, continuously trying to juggle work and play.

The answer was as clear as it was difficult. We sold our home, left the concrete paved city life, and moved to a tiny village in the Tirolean Alps. Now we ski all winter, explore all summer, and enjoy this alpine life.
